How to write an effective essay for competition

Simple method for writing a good and effective essay in English. If you don't know where to start when you are writing an essay, start here and learn how to do it right! Rather than worrying about an essay for weeks, suggest to your child to read through this article and let them know some tips to write an essay in simple method. As Shakespeare said, "the pen is mightier than the sword,"
the pen itself is not enough to make an effective writer. Writing an essay often seems to be a frightening task among students. Whether the essay is for a scholarship/ class / maybe even a contest, many students find the task overwhelming. While an essay is a large project, there are many steps to know which will help break down the task into manageable parts. Here are few steps to follow to write a successful essay :

Choose A Topic

You may have your topic assigned, or else if you need to choose a topic of your choice. If the topic is already assigned, you should think about the type of paper that you want to produce. Should it be a general overview of the subject or a specific analysis. If you need to choose a topic of your choice you have a little more work to do. However, this opportunity also gives you the advantage to choose a subject that is interesting or relevant to you. If your goal is to educate, choose a subject that you have already studied. If your goal is to persuade, choose a subject that you are passionate about. Whatever the mission of the essay, make sure that you are interested in your topic.

Prepare An Outline/Overview

To write an effective essay, you must organize your thoughts. By taking what’s already in your head and putting it to paper, you are able to see connections and links between ideas more clearly.  If you prefer to create an outline, write your topic at the top of the page. From there, begin to list your main ideas, leaving space under each one. In this space, make sure to list other smaller ideas that relate to each main idea. Doing this will allow you to see connections and will help you to write a more organized essay. Now that you have chosen a topic and sorted your ideas into relevant categories, you must create a statement. Look at your outline or diagram.

Introduction

Now that you have developed your essay and the overall body of your essay, you must write an introduction. Firstly the introduction should attract the reader’s attention and show the focus of your essay. You can use shocking information, dialogue, a story, a quote or summary of your topic. Whichever angle you choose, make sure that it ties in with your statement, which will be included as the last sentence of your introduction.

Body

Body of your essay describes your topic. Each main idea that you wrote in your diagram or outline will become a separate section within the body of your essay. Each body paragraph will have the same basic structure. Begin by writing one of your main ideas as the introductory sentence. Next, write each of your supporting ideas in sentence format,  but leave three or four   lines in between
each point to come back and give detailed examples to back up your position. Fill in these spaces with relative information that will help link smaller ideas together.

Conclusion

The conclusion brings closure of the topic and end up your overall ideas while providing a final perspective on your topic. Your conclusion should consist of three to five strong sentences. Simply review your main points. After writing your conclusion, you might think that you have completed your essay. But it's Wrong. Before you consider this a finished work, you must pay attention to all the small details. Check the order of your paragraph. Your strongest points should be the first and last paragraphs within the body. Also, make sure that your paragraph order makes sense. Many teachers and scholarship forms follow different formats, and you must double check instructions to ensure that your essay is in the desired format. Finally make sure that sentence flow is smooth and add phrases to help connect thoughts or ideas. Check your essay for grammar and spelling mistakes.

How to Choose an Online High School

Online high schools have been growing at a very fast rate. While colleges that offer distance learning programs have become increasingly competitive with each other. Choosing an online high school has become a challenge. Parents need to find a virtual program that offers an accredited diploma and provides academic support for students. Asking the right questions will help you find the online high school that best meets your needs and requirement.

What type of online high school is this?

There are four types of online high schools and named as
  • private schools
  • public schools
  • charter schools
  • university sponsored schools.
  • Being familiar with these school types will help you sort through your options.

Who accredits this school?
If it does not have recognized accreditation, you should be careful. Yes, there are some acceptable programs that only have state approval. Be careful, though, that the approval includes oversight and is not just a license to do business. You can find recognized accreditors at the Council for Higher Education Accreditation. An online high school that is regionally accredited will have the widest acceptance. Keep an eye out for unaccredited and diploma mill schools – these programs will take your money, leaving you with an inferior education and a worthless diploma.

What Curriculum Is Used ?

Your online high school should have a time-tested curriculum that meets your child's academic needs (remedial, gifted, etc). Ask about additional programs such as special education, college prep, or advanced placement.

What Training And Qualifications Do The Teachers Have ?

Be wary of online high schools that hire teachers without a college diploma or teaching experience. Teachers should be credentialed, know how to work with teenagers, and be comfortable with computers.

How Long Has This Online School Existed?

Online schools come and go. Choosing a school that has been around for longer can help you avoid the trouble of trying to transfer schools at a later date.

What Percent Of Students Graduate?

You can learn a lot by an online high school's graduation track record. Be aware that certain types of schools (such as academic recovery programs) will always have a smaller number of graduates.

How Many Students Go On To College?

What Are The Expenses For These Online Schools?

Most private schools charge tuition fee by the end of a semester. Public programs may provide classes free of charge, but require parents to pay for expenses such as computers, software, and internet connections. Ask about additional charges for curriculum, technology fees, graduation fees, and all other expenses. Also, ask about discounts, scholarships, and payment programs.

Is There Any Extra Charge For Additional Help?

Some online high schools require students to work independently and turn in assignments by email. Other programs have virtual "classrooms" that allow students to interact with teachers.Find out if there are any clubs or social events available to students. Some schools offer extracurricular virtual programs that engage students and look good on a resume. While there are many excellent options in online high schools, there are also many that are not good choices. The typical problem is acceptability. Colleges typically require the high school to have accreditation in some form. While not an absolute rule, one needs to be careful.

Few Things To Consider When Looking At An Online High School

Fake schools, not surprisingly, have been known to invent fake accreditation. Yes, your friend with the 7 day high school diploma got a job. However, if she gets caught, and she will eventually get caught, she will likely be fired. Even if, and this is important, even if she did not know it was a fake school. The most common mistake is investing money into a school that was not a school. Do your own research. check its accreditation at Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA).  Importantly, you cannot earn a high school diploma by taking a test online. You cannot earn a high school diploma in one week or one month. High school diplomas requires real work.

Many of the professions that require or offer certification are governed by the state in which the certificate holder practices. Your school or association will help you understand these requirements, but you can also find them at each state's government website. There are many requirements for earning a certificate as there are fields requiring them, so what kind of certificate you want and what you want to do with it. First, know the differences between all the different types of schools so you can choose the right ones. Begin your search by visiting the websites of the associations and organizations that govern or accredit the schools in the field you have chosen. On the Internet, search for the name of your field and associations, organizations, and schools. The number of hours varies by state and field. Notices are generally sent out by the governing state and/or association, as is literature advertising continuing education opportunities, conferences, and conventions.  Many professional associations gather their members yearly in the form of conferences, conventions, and/or trade shows to provide continuing education seminars, to discuss the state of the profession and new best practices, and to showcase the latest products and services. Which Degree Is Right for You?

There are many different types of Educational degrees out there. Determining the one that is right for you depends on what you want to do with your education and career. Specific degrees are required for specific jobs for ex medical degree for doctors ,MBA is a degree that is useful in many different fields. Some people choose to earn degrees that are for their own personal requirement, or because they have a passion for a certain topic.  So what are your choices? There are certificates, licenses, undergraduate degrees, and graduate degrees, sometimes referred to as post-graduate degrees. Have a look at each category.

CERTIFICATES AND LICENSES

Professional certification and licenses, in some fields, is the same thing. In others, it is not, and you'll find it's the topic of heated controversy in certain areas. The variables are too numerous to mention in this article, so make sure to research your particular field and understand which ones you need, a certificate or a license. You can do this by searching the Internet, visiting your local library or university, or asking professionals in that particular field. In general, certificates and licenses take about two years to complete, and tell potential employers and customers that you know what you're doing. When you hire an electrician, for example, you want to know that they are licensed and that the work they do for you will be correct, to code, and safe.

UNDERGRADUATE DEGREES

The term "undergraduate" encompasses those degrees you earn after a high school diploma or GED credential and before a Master's or Doctoral Degree. Sometimes referred as post-secondary. Classes can be taken at different colleges and universities, including online universities. There are two general types of undergraduate degrees, Associate's Degrees and Bachelor's Degrees.

Associate's Degrees are usually earned in two years, often at a community or vocational college, and generally require 60 credits. Programs will vary. Students who earn an Associate's Degree sometimes do so to determine if the path they've chosen is correct for them. Credits can cost less and are usually transferable to a four year college if the student chooses to continue their education.

Bachelor's Degrees are earned in four, and sometimes five, years, usually at a college or university, including online universities. Bachelor of Arts (BA) focuses on critical thinking and communication in a wide variety of liberal arts areas, including languages, math, science, social science, and the humanities. Majors may be in subjects such as History, English, Sociology, Philosophy, or Religion, although there are many others.

Bachelor of Science (BS) focuses on critical thinking, too, with an emphasis on sciences such as technology and medicine. Majors may be in Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Nursing, Economics, or Mechanical Engineering, although, again, there are many others.

GRADUATE DEGREES

There are two types of graduate degrees and named as Master's Degrees and Doctorates.

Master's Degrees are usually earned in one or more years depending on the field of study. They are generally sought to improve a person's expertise in their given field. A few examples of Master's Degrees:

Master of Arts (MA)
Master of Sciences (MS)
Master of Fine Arts (MFA)

Doctorates generally take three or more years depending on the field of study. There are professional doctorates, a few of which are:

Doctor of Medicine (MD)
Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM)
Doctor of Jurisprudence (JD) or Law
There are also research doctorates, known as Doctor of Philosophy (PhD), and honorary doctorates, awarded in recognition of a significant contribution to a field.

WHAT IS LINCODE AND HOW IS IT TOO AWESOME FOR A LOCATION TRACKER APP?

LINCODES

Lincodes actually works in the first place. It is a Digital Addressing System made exclusively for India that divides the entire country into a grid of more than 360 billion squares of 10ft x 10ft area and each square has been assigned a unique 12 digit identification number, similar to the Aadhar system and that is Lincodes for you. "Lincode" changes correspondingly for every 10 feet in either direction, thus providing you with very precise coordinates. You can share your lincode with anyone through SMS, email and many more and they can use the app to track your location accurately. This app works on both ios and android. Once you register with the app, you can save and create a list of multiple lincodes for frequent use.

HOW DOES LINCODES WORK ?

LinCodes is a collective addressing system that relies on the on a grid of 360 billion squares of 10ft x 10ft area to serve its purpose. These grids aid in pinpointing any location in India with absolute precision, something that the country really needs in our age of communication. Now, each of these 10ft x 10ft squares present in the grid are allocated a unique & permanent  12 digit
number that makes identification of each square unique, simple and efficient in the process.

These individuals square, or as we refer to them, Lincodes are produced using a highly precise and calculated methodology which are in turn based on logical algorithms. On the basis of the information we upload regarding the country’s location stats, the algorithm allocates every 10ft x10ft square across India with a Unique 12 digit number in a way that each adjoining squares get
common 11 digits and so on.

Main advantage of using numbers for location tracking is that anybody can find any location accurately and without any language barrier. Also, a number code can be easily communicate and cuts down the likelihood of making mistakes as it is with the current system of Long street addresses, Landmarks, mobile short links etc.

When the app is open, one can search for a particular location to get its Lincode, or enter the Lincode to find the location. One can also store frequently used addresses. The app can be used offline and does not depend on GPS and latitude/longitude, thus making it accessible to anyone with unpredictable internet availability at any given point of time.
